Our homes in Old / New Wilkerson and at Keough’s are in a high-risk fire area. We lack robust ability to fight wildfire, so prevention is our best option. Chief Joe Dell has committed to partner with a Fire Safe Council for Wilkerson and Keough’s.
Being a Fire Safe Council empowers us to reduce fire risk by giving us:
> A communication network so we can work together
> Access to grant money for dumpsters, chippers, etc.
> Assistance with reducing fuel on our properties
